At Awaaz.de, we are committed to providing enhanced experiences to our users. As a part of that, we are happy to introduce an upgrade to Awaaz.De’s tagging functionality. Before, tagging was done through a set of dropdown boxes with the categories ‘crop’ and ‘topic’. Even if you are using Awaaz.De for supporting Anganwadi teachers like Galli Galli Sim Sim, you had to put up with a dropdown labelled ‘crop’. Even more inconvenient, you couldn’t add tags yourself; tags had to be managed through a manual process.
We have done away with all of these issues with a free-form, autocomplete tag interface. This is similar to what you see on Google, Facebook, Youtube, and other popular sites. You can now tag messages by simply typing in the tags you wish to use. Previous tags you have used are offered as autocomplete suggestions as you type. Just type in and hit ‘Enter’. You can specify any number of tags.
PLEASE NOTE that after you’ve added or modified tags, you must still hit the ‘Save’ button at the bottom-right corner of the details panel for the changes to be saved.
For existing Awaaz.De users, the tags you used to have in dropdowns will now be available as auto-complete suggestions. And of course any new tags you want to add can be added by simply typing them in directly.
